Dyed my hair. Cry for help? Or just a quarantine activity?

So I dyed my hair - grey.

I'm pretty sure that the reason I did this was because I have always been curious what it would look like and that being paired with a time in my life when I see no one, made me this... why not!

As a reference, I did shave my head after wearing my hair long for years and never looked back. So, there could be an argument made that I am a little impulsive when it comes to my hair. I am also deeply jealous of Moira's (Schitt's Creek) wig collection.

So, do I like the grey? Sure. It's fun, different, and it seems to turn colors other than grey REAL fast if I don't use a toning conditioner regularly. So somedays I rock a wild blue or green head - it keeps things lively.

I have been seeing the memes - laughing (with) the fact that many people are doing some crazy things with their hair (I mean how many of us have cut our own hair since the pandemic started?). It does make me think... in a year will I consider this hair dye job a desperate attempt to control a change in my life in a year that major change continues to enfold without any choice in the matter? I guess only time will tell. But honestly folks, if a global pandemic happens for a year and I walk out of this with only grey hair - I'm calling it a win.

For now, I'm rocking a solid grey pixie that makes me hopeful that in old age I can still rock it.

Advice: Dye your hair. Pick the new haircut.

Disclaimer: Apparently Americans generally spell "grAy" and UK spells it "grEy" - IDK why but it feels right with an "e" to me. So, I'm going with the English on this one.
